Numb to disappointment.
I feel like I’m the only one who gives a fuck.
I try so hard to make sure that we’re BOTH happy. THAT is the fucking difference.
I give a fuck about our pets. Because I give a fuck, I feed them. I clean them. I buy them Frontline.
I give a fuck about whether or not we live in filth. Because I give a fuck, I vacuum, do dishes, do laundry, and just generally clean.
I give a fuck about our relationship. Because I give a fuck, I try to spend time with you. I do the things you ask me to do, no matter what it is. I care if you’re hurt, because I don’t want you to be hurt.
You obviously don’t give a fuck.
Every time I ask you to do something, no matter how arbitrary, I come home only to find disappointment. (Actually, I’ve become so used to being disappointed that I don’t even expect anything anymore.) You leave Vincent outside all day ALL THE TIME. You never clean anything. You BITCH if I even ask you to HELP me do ANYTHING.
All of this I can deal with. I shouldn’t. I shouldn’t have to. But, I do.
What I can’t deal with is your attitude. If I felt like you apprectiated anything I do, it would be better.
But, you don’t.
When I tell you that I feel like you don’t give a fuck, you don’t give a fuck.
You dismiss my feelings because you feel like you have no fault.
I don’t care if you don’t think you don’t give a fuck.
You should give a fuck that I feel like you don’t.
That’s the part that hurts.
Just a total disregard for my feelings.
And an almost total disregard for me.
